Support for iCloud
Apple has launched iCloud, its new cloud-syncing service that replaces MobileMe. iCloud is free for all iOS 5 and OS X Lion users.
Updates are now available for BusyCal and BusyToDo that support iCloud. Please install the latest updates and read the upgrade instructions before you upgrade to iCloud.
BusyCal 1.6
BusyCal 1.6 is a free update that supports iCloud and adds the ability sync repeating To Dos and Location alarms with the iOS 5 Reminders app and BusyToDo. To install the update:
- Direct customers: Select Check for Updates from the BusyCal menu.
- Mac App Store customers: Check the Updates tab on the Mac App Store.
- New users: Download the BusyCal 30-day trial.
BusyToDo 1.6
BusyToDo 1.6 is a free update that supports iCloud and the new Location alarms in iOS 5. It is available now for all iOS 5 users on the App Store. Note: You must upgrade to iOS 5 before you can install BusyToDo 1.6.
BusySync 2.3
BusySync has not been updated, and has read-only access to iCloud calendars.
Upgrading to iCloud
If you are currently syncing all of your calendars with MobileMe, then the upgrade to iCloud should be seamless. However, if you are using BusyCal or BusySync to sync calendars on a LAN or with Google Calendar, you will have to make changes to your workflow if you want to sync those calendars with iCloud.
