Your Profile and Appearance
Personalize your profile and booking pages in the dashboard's Settings. Add your name and photo under Profile, and choose a theme, color and logo under Appearance. You can also edit your name, username and photo from BusyCal > Settings > Bookings > Edit Profile… on your Mac.
Name and Username
- In your dashboard, choose Settings > Profile.
- Under Name and username, enter your Name. It's shown on your profile page and your booking pages.
- If you like, change the Username. It's the part of your links after
busybook.me/. - Click Save.
Your username must contain 3 to 64 lowercase letters, numbers or hyphens, starting with a letter. Bookings suggests one from your email address, such as jane-doe for jane.doe@example.com. Choose another if your preferred username is taken.
When you change your username, the links to your profile and to all of your booking pages change too. The old links stop working. Update any links that you already shared.
You can turn a booking page on only when your profile has both a name and a username. Until you add your name, the Profile card in Settings is marked Add your name.
Photo
- In Settings > Profile, under Photo, click Choose a photo. Choose a PNG or JPEG image. If the image is very large, the dashboard makes it smaller before it uploads it.
- Click Upload Photo.
Your photo appears as a square on your profile, booking pages and link previews. To remove it, click Remove Photo…, then Remove Photo. Previously saved link previews may continue to show the old photo for a while.
Your Profile Page
Your public profile is at busybook.me/ followed by your username. It shows your name, photo and a card for each page set to On your profile. Each card includes the meeting's duration options, location, available days and date range, description, and a View Times button.
- A booking page that offers only specific dates shows Specific dates in place of its days.
- A booking page where you approve each request is marked Needs confirmation.
A page can be set to On your profile but still be hidden if it's paused, has no available location, has no destination calendar selected, or uses an account that's turned off. Its card in Booking pages shows Not on your profile and explains why. See The Booking Pages List.
The booking pages appear in the order of your Booking pages list. To change the order, use Move Up and Move Down in a booking page's More actions menu.
When your profile lists at least one booking page, you can find its link in Settings > Profile > Your profile page. When the profile is open for bookings, you can also use the dashboard's top bar:
- Click the globe button to open your profile, or point to it to see the address. In a narrow window, use the account menu instead.
- The account menu shows the address under your email, where you can copy it. View Your Profile in the menu opens it.
If no booking page is on your profile, the profile page says that there's nothing to book.
Link-Only Booking Pages
Choose Link only to leave a booking page off your profile. Share its link with the people you want to book that meeting. Anyone who has the link can use it.
Theme and Accent Color
These settings apply to all of your booking pages and your profile page. Your dashboard always uses BusyCal's own colors.
- In your dashboard, choose Settings > Appearance.
- Under Theme, choose Automatic, Light or Dark. Automatic follows each visitor's light or dark setting.
- Under Accent color, choose Blue, Green, Purple, Red or Orange. Or choose Custom and enter a color in Custom color, such as
#237c50. - Click Save Appearance.
The accent color appears on buttons, links and available times. Its shade adjusts for readability in light and dark themes. How your booking pages look previews the preset colors.
Logo
Your logo appears at the top of your profile and booking pages, in an area eight times as wide as it is tall.
- In Settings > Appearance, under Logo, click Choose a logo. Choose a PNG or JPEG image. If the image is very large, the dashboard makes it smaller before it uploads it.
- Click Upload Logo.
To remove the logo, click Remove Logo…, then click Remove Logo.
Account Email
Your Account email, shown in Settings > Profile, is used for sign-in and booking notifications. It doesn't appear on your public pages and can't be changed in the dashboard.
