Does BusyCal sync Settings between multiple devices?

Yes. BusyCal syncs settings between devices signed into the same iCloud account. CloudKit sync covers accounts, color tags, and Smart Filters / Calendar Sets.

What syncs:

  • App settings between Macs (when Sync General Settings is enabled)
  • View settings between Macs
  • Accounts
  • Color Tags
  • Smart Filters / Calendar Sets (including remembered view settings and related smart group preferences)

Calendar Set platform behavior:

  • Mac calendar sets sync only to other Macs
  • iPhone calendar sets sync only to other iPhones
  • Calendar sets do not cross-sync between Mac and iPhone because Mac calendar sets can include filters that iPhone does not support

What does not sync:

  • Account credentials (passwords, OAuth tokens, app-specific passwords) stay only in the local Mac's Keychain and are never sent to iCloud. When an account syncs to a new Mac, you'll be asked to re-authenticate it once there.

These sync toggles live under BusyCal > Settings > Advanced (Sync Settings, Sync Accounts, Sync Smart Filters & Calendar Sets). iCloud Drive must be enabled in System Settings.
