How do I change dark mode and appearance settings?

You can easily change the appearance settings in BusyCal and BusyContacts to match your preference or system settings.

How to Change Appearance Settings​

Go to View > Appearance in the menu bar and choose from these options:

  • Dark Mode - Uses dark colors with white text
  • Light Mode - Uses light colors with dark text
  • Automatic - Follows your macOS system appearance settings

Automatic Mode​

When set to Automatic, the app will:

  • Switch to light mode (white background) during the day
  • Switch to dark mode (dark background) at night
  • Follow your macOS system appearance preferences
  • Change automatically when you adjust your system settings

The appearance setting applies to both the main interface and all windows in BusyCal and BusyContacts.
